Estrogen dominance.
A condition that nearly every woman I know has suffered from, to some degree, at one point in her life.
A condition that most women don’t know they have (our readers tend to be more in the know because you read my emails!)
Yet, it’s a hormonal imbalance that can wreak such havoc in many women’s lives, including mine.
Here are some of the more common symptoms of estrogen dominance:
PMS and/or depression
Heavy bleeding or postmenopausal bleeding
Spider or varicose veins
Cellulite
Heavy periods
Breast cysts or ovarian fibroids
Irritability
mood swings, or anxiety
Headaches or migraines, particularly before your period
Fat around your hips
Thyroid nodules
History of thyroid cancer History of lung cancer
History of ER+ breast cancer
Bloating, puffiness, or water retention
Lumpy or fibrocystic breasts
Endometriosis
Fibroids
Gallbladder problems, or your gallbladder has been removed
Brown facial discoloration (melasma)
Water retention in hands and legs
Allergies
Estrogen dominance symptoms due to low progesterone:
Insomnia
Mid-night waking
Infertility
Miscarriages
Mid-cycle spotting
Anxiety,
restlessness
Mood swings
Hot flashes
Show me one woman who doesn’t have at least one of these symptoms!
Yet, Western / conventional / allopathic medicine has little to offer apart from birth control, invasive surgery (such as hysterectomy, thyroidectomy, mastectomy) and estrogen blockers that cause organ failure.
Here is the problem with estrogen dominance: When not managed, it can lead to many serious health conditions such as estrogenic cancers and make our lives a living hell.
The good news is that estrogen dominance is a highly manageable and reversible condition.
See a professional to evaluate your symptoms and seek help.
